great pix!
I always find it strange to see the early live pix, particularly the first few... they're strangely naked? Like the myth or mystic hasn't quite got there yet, which you don't get from the press pix or the records. Needless to say, I appreciate that might sound like pure toss to any who was actually there at the time -

Nice one.
The other pics are almost definitely 84 aren't they? Just going by the smoke, the hat and Mark's shirt.

No smoke.bangles wrote:I always find it strange to see the early live pix, particularly the first few... they're strangely naked?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I reckon the ones from '84 might be the Riley Smith hall at Leeds Uni.

If i m not mistaken he started wearing the hat at the "tune in , turn on..." 1985 tour.
So if it s Leeds it must be 16/03/1985.

I'd concur with that - the circular screens at edge of the stage were from that tour, Leeds Uni being my very first Sisters gig!Silence is platinum wrote:If i m not mistaken he started wearing the hat at the "tune in , turn on..." 1985 tour.

Didn't he start wearing the hat in '84? I've got a copy of Smash Hits (!) from around June 1984 with a Sisters interview. Andrew's wearing a hat in the picture and even talks about buying it in (I think) Las Vegas in the interview.Silence is platinum wrote:If i m not mistaken he started wearing the hat at the "tune in , turn on..." 1985 tour.

Salvation weren't the support band that was the Scientists, Salvation happened to play in the same building on the same day.taylor wrote:the support band were Salvation and done this

Fantastic pics.....I love it when old photos appear after all these years.
My brother took a couple when Craig & Wayne joined the Cult onstage at Leeds Uni in May 1985. They were technically still 'Sisters' at that time, so I will try & post them up here one day......(might help if we'd spoken to each other inside the last 3 years! )

Quite ironic, given the subject.Spiggy's hat wrote:My brother took a couple when Craig & Wayne joined the Cult onstage at Leeds Uni in May 1985. Make it up. Life is too short.
