This internet has been sanitised for your protection

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Brought to you by the same people who gave you War 2.0 and The Third Way

fcukers.

"The...clause allows the secretary of state for business to order the blocking of "a location on the internet which the court is satisfied has been, is being or is likely to be used for or in connection with an activity that infringes copyright".

So that's this site banjaxed, then.

[EDIT] Also every social networking site - they are likely to be used for friends to communicate.

"What are you doing?"
"Listening to this great new album from the Moomin Mothers - hot techno outfit from Helsinki."
"Can you do me a copy?"
"Sure."
BZZZZZZZZZZZT! "[crackle]This is the Cyber Police. Put down your MP3s and come out with your hands up. This site is being closed down for copyright infringement."

it's a continuation of a losing battle - terrorists and guerrillas will allas have an upper hand, look at Viet Nam, Norn Erlan and now the east - pick your place

The internet has been protected for your sanity would have been more practical.

What a bunch of tools.

The "likely to be used" bit is genuinely scary. Surely someone with even an ounce of cop-on should realise that opens the door for any kind of nut job to wreak havoc.

I suppose that it gives you something else to give your MPs a bollocking over on the doorstep over the coming weeks.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Not when you have a judiciary that's all too willing to countenance simulated drowning so you can find out what someone had for his tea.

And it feels like me today
Tell me, Do you feel the same?
Or do you feel like nineteen eighty-four?
