when i spoke to him at a book signing in manchester a couple of years ago (hahahahah, ask jo about that one :innocent:) he seemed perfectly pleasant.

we had a nice chat about the weather, the traffic coming up from london, about how life was treating each of us, and what he was up to these days.

he was relaxed, congenial and approachable.

very erratic when it comes to public performances, granted. slightly troubled by mental health issues, definitely. but he seemed nice enough to me 8)

and lets face it, who here hasn't clung to a bottle of bulmers from time to time? :oops: :lol:

and if i were at a church benefit, i can't guarantee i wouldn't have reacted like that myself ;)

because it makes the drums twice as powerful...

have a listen to the fall, or beachbuggy, when they had 2 drummers.

it's HUGE 8)

and tbh, they do tend to play subtly different stuff when it comes to fills and extra percussion. it's only usually the bass drum, snares and floor toms that are played in sync.

and it just looks cool. never underestimate the importance of visual effect :lol:

There's been quite a lot of erratic behaviour from Adam in the last few weeks and the sad thing is that people close to him are apparently insisting that he's fine. I would love to see him performing again but not if this is what it does to him.

Poor Mr Goddard really isn't doing well.
Hopefully he'll get over the current blip as he's one of the few performers left on my list of "must see live".

Unfortunately, it rather seems it would be better for him to keep away from public performance.

What a shame, i still listen to the old stuff like 'Kick', 'Zerox' and 'Car trouble', even 'King of The Wild Frontier' LP. He did some genius stuff in the late 70's and early 80's. He's always suffered from depression but in the last decade or so he doesn't seem to be able to get a grip of it
I don't doubt and I don't take direction....
