Meatloaf ROCKS!!!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I always thought Ghost Dance's Cinder Road sounded like Bat Out Of Hell.

It reminds me of being a teenager and stuck in my Dad's car. He used to love it and know all the lyrics.

Bat Out Of Hell is a work of pure Rock-n-Roll genius. Bombast and pomp turned up to eleven, and you're never quite sure whether Steinman means it (maaaan) or if his tongue is planted firmly in his cheek.

It's no wonder Eldritch asked Steinman to produce on Floodland.

And I'm saying nothing about karaoke.

It's a puppet show to be enjoyed. :D

Most definitely not the best LP ever, but certainly not unremitting pish either.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

It was unremitting when my neighbour played it - again and again and again. I suppose the circumstances have put me off that album forever

Yes and no with me, I remember True Blue being played all the time by next door and I loved that album. To me, Meatloaf is high on the list of Artists I Just Don't Get, along with Queen, The Beatles and Elvis.

Agreed. But if an ugly bloke getting to feel up Elen Foley by virtue of his one God given talent ain't every young boy's fantasy come true then I don't know what the f**k you think rock 'n' roll's supposed to be about!
