GPS 06

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Pretty cool mag, yet again. I have to say though, when will that chap crawl out of Eldo's backside? Before or after he stops trying to sound really really clever? There's no doubt he is, but the projection is rather transparent. I wonder if there is no letter's page because no-one can be bothered to argue with them / him.

Shame, because it detracts a little from an otherwise excellent mag.

I totally agree. I've never seen the issues, and after reading the Philadelphia '97 show article on the website, I don't really care to.

I am a master of the unintentional insult. But it doesn't change my thoughts on the subject. Hey, Chris, want me to write you an article???

Chris can seem a little sycophantic, it's true - but then, he's committed enough to put together a fine, regular fanzine - and it's certainly a lot better than Heartland ever was in print. He does like Interpol just a little more than is healthy or wise, though...

And as far as writing articles for GPS - well, they've generally been pretty receptive to submissions, so why not give it a bash? I might even put together another crossword, one of these days..

Cheers,

Yeah, they've certainly printed my drivel in the past.

By and large the mag is very good, and a fine read. The two interviews in 06 are excellent. Sometimes I just feel Mr S has got his Von-tinted specs welded on, which can't be healthy; and the 'undercurrent' of condescension annoys me, as does my inability to spell very well.

But it's the best Sisters fanzine out at the mo', don't get me wrong.
