Currently watching Celebrating The Carpenters

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm watch this right now & thinking that Karen carpenters early death was tragic for the music industry.

I do quite enjoy listening to their songs whenever I hear them on a radio.

They were very talented & Karen certainly could sing.

I'd love to hear The Sisters doing a cover of any of their songs, I'm sure they'd do a great job of it.

love the carpenters.

richard's genius arrangement and silky smooth production, coupled with karne's voice, which is probably the most beautiful, haunting voice i've ever heard.

her singing sounded so effortless, yet at the same time charged with pathos and emotion. even their so-called "cheery" songs have an underlying air of melancholy the way she sings them.

love 'em.

It'll be spectacular - not a day goes by without someone banging on about that other carpenter who made a similar comeback :innocent:

I used to really like them but worked in a shop with just one tape for a summer - Loving You every 55 minutes for three months kind of puts you off :urff:
