Slightly depressed.... (CBPOB)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Back to work from my hols. The UK seems freezing after Italian temperatures  (It hit 46℃ in Pompeii)

Re quitting smoking: the way I did it was to get the flu and feel like sh!t for three days, so much so that I didn't want to smoke for those three days. When I started feeling better I decided "well I managed those 3 days without a fag, I can manage a few days more..."

Also, a mate quit at about the same time, and I'm not going to let him win

I agree with Eva: find a hobby to keep your hands busy. Our house is full of origami models I've been making rather than smoking!

Still, I've been tobacco-free since November 2006. I still get the occasional craving. (Italy was quite bad for it actually. Everyone in Italy smokes. Even children and animals  ) But it's all OK, the cravings pass quite quickly now, just a couple of minutes.

Well, maybe not the animals. But there were some very young kids smoking in Napoli. 7, 8 years old maybe

Although I probably shouldn't laugh.

Oh and it's true what they say about traffic in Napoli. Those guys are insane

Naples is far worse than Rome. At least the Romans (usually) stop at red lights.

Crossing the road in Naples is basically an exercise in "step into the road and show no fear". The cars and mopeds* just drive round you.

The guide book we got had this advice: "Try to cross at the same time as a local, preferably a priest or a nun; the Neapolitans will 'stop for God'".

* mopeds sometimes carry as many as four people in Naples. None of whom will be wearing a helmet. Or driving the f**king thing as far as I can tell.

While not a fan in any way, the fact that "Groove is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite was released 20 years ago is making me feel very very old.

Thought I'd share that so you lot all feel old too.

well one thing for sure is that we don't go to see the Sissies on Thursday. the other is still the Peter Steele issue. I tried listening to TON again it still not happenning. I'm also a upset about my general mindset for the whole 2010 along with the health issues. the next months I will continue working on getting back on track and hope for the best.

...A so-called "friend" of mine has been round at my ex-partner's quite a lot since we split, and has been peddling her with lies about me. It's so obvious to everyone - apart from her - his real intentions of getting into her pants (he may have already, for all I know).

I thought she'd know better, but she's lining herself up for a helluva fall. I've insisted our daughter has no contact with him whatsoever.

What a slimy, two-faced c*nt.

As you'll find out, I'm the happiest I've been for years. The backstabbing has only rid me of a parasite.
