Promo for Wake

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Ah that takes me back - first time I saw that clip (done for the WEA sales conference ) was the first time most of us in the UK realised they'd shot a video for BP!

Nice find.

Von appears in a crossover period with them looks, sporting the beard but still holding on to the FALAA regalia. Don't recall him appearing much in front of cameras in between Wake and the Floodland release.

I had this on a VHS that I bought at a record fair in Rock City in about 1987 (I think).

From memory the VHS was a volume of Kiss The Blade.
It had a cream coloured cover.

I think it had the promos of Walk Away, No Time To Cry and another few plus some live footage (York Racecourse).
And I ride down the Highway 101
By the side of the ocean, headed for Sunset

I still have the vhs upstairs somewhere, almost certainly bought from the same record fair at Rock City
I remember being in there and how strange it felt to be in the main hall with the lights on.

Yes, it was a bit wierd going there during the day wasn't it, the only other time I'd been there in the day time was my very first time in there - The M1ss1on Fan Club day in '86.

That was quite a good record fair wasn't it.
I think I bought a few other Sisters goodies there that day as well.

I went to that fan club day as well
I remember because of the licensing laws they weren't allowed to sell alcholol and a stunning rendition of Led Zep's Rock An Roll by Wayne and Baalam and the Angel. Was that really twenty four years ago?
