What happened with Andrew and Patricia?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

They had an argument or something, right? What was the argument about?

"improbably large hindquarters" was the phrase I heard. Somewhere. Can't recall where, exactly.

edit: this is not a joke. I'd swear I heard it somewhere. I just don't know where.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Money.

She wanted more than he thought she was worth.

I'd rather tend to believe in dreamwars with money being only the second choice, if it is a choice at all ... :wink: ...

I doubt it really was her (why would she bother, after so many years? ) but oh yeah, that was funny.

I was watching the first of your Television Thing dvd's last night,and in an interview asking why Patricia but noone else,circa Floodland,he says something like "I don't like to sing over electric guitars becase my voice is so quiet,so I didn't bother with guitarists,but I figured I would always need a bass player"
So here we are many years later sans bassist,and with two axe wielders *

* yes,I am a heavy metal fan.

Yep, that'll be the thread that's already dealt with this subject and has a fairly similar title. Just sayin' :roll:

Have a listen to 'Thrill Kill' on The Damned's 'Grave Disorder'
album and admit that it's one of the greatest basslines ever!
Plus, it's very much in the style of 'Lucretia' or 'Dominion'!
