Claire got me a Sisters belt buckle, but on closer inspection is turned out to be pink and white and surrounded by diamanté or some such. It was... bling.
It was a lovely gift, just a little unwearable

Indeed, appearently it was your belt buckle that I commented on on the stairs in TJ's in Leamington, after which my girlfriend felt the need to tell me that you were wearing a Sisters shirt as well "yes dear,I noticed that"timsinister wrote:Cheers boss! I can see why your GF might be surprised to see someone else wearing another Sisters T-shirt - It's not often you see people wearing them at their concerts is it?

Ah, on the narrow staircase up to the rooms? Yes, I recall that! Always a pleasure to meet another Heartlander!ribbons69 wrote: Indeed, appearently it was your belt buckle that I commented on on the stairs in TJ's in Leamington, after which my girlfriend felt the need to tell me that you were wearing a Sisters shirt as well "yes dear,I noticed that"
I figured I could get away with a Sisters tee that weekend. Although at the gig I did wear my Eureka Machines shirt instead.

It came with actual postcards? Mine (second hand) doesn't. What were they of?lachert wrote:yeah, i know, not too good condition and without postcards but alwayspaul wrote:This guy is also selling a hardback copy of Postcards From Above The Chemistlachert wrote:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sisters-Mercy-Vis ... 27b4de75b2

Nah, the book never came with actual postcards.
The 'postcards' were metaphorical - the lyrics were the postcards, written while von was 'above' the 'chemists'.
It came in paperback and hardback flavours iirc (I don't own a copy but I know a few people that do).
Reading it was probably the first time I saw the real, actual, official versions of those early lyrics (rather than some dodgy Italian or german pseudo translation...)

When I ordered the hardback edition from Reptile House six postcards were included, makes me feel old when I realise how many years ago it was... and Lachert if you're still looking for the postcards I think I have a spare set, just pm your address.lachert wrote:oh, i saw few copies on ebay with additional postcards, so i thought it was originally send by reptile along with the book
