Eureka Machines news

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Saturday 21 August 2010 - Unity Day, Hyde Park, Leeds (headlining the Band Tent at 8pm)

I'll be at this one, it's only 2 minutes from my house. Anyway that fancies a drink is welcome :)

Unconfirmed rumours suggest that this (completely free) show may include pyrotechnics. To find out whether this is true or not, you will need to attend.

(Clue: it is)

Pyrotechnics + flailing madman with huge crimpy hair trying to climb on top of people + lots of drugs = DEFINITE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS.

Probably the best gig I've seen them play so far. Eldo and Simon D were in the audience btw. 8)

I can't believe he was standing behind me for the whole bloody gig and I didn't even notice. I was quite happy bopping up and down to the Machines!

In fairness he probably did. Either that or knocked in the face by a flying elbow.

I regret shouting "WHERE'S THE FOOKIN' DRUM MACHINE?!" though.

For London types, you can get a Eureka Machines fix on Saturday 18 September, playing with the fantastic Jackdaw4 at the Borderline. There's a Facebook page and that:

It's a Saturday! I feel this is worth pointing out. :)

CHOON!

(the beginning bits look very much like they are actually filmed in Chris's house too, not a set)
