What was played during the Utrecht soundcheck on 6 November 1984? Before anyone sends me to Christer's page, let me point out that what is listed is inconsistant.
http://www.sisterstrading.com/Audio/1984.html, http://www.sisterstrading.com/Audio/198 ... 11-06.html and http://www.sisterstrading.com/Bootlegs/ ... rief1.html do not all match. Was Body and Soul on The Grief part of the soundcheck or really part of the Oxford gig half a year earlier?

Inconsistancies abound Pet, we cope.

The soundcheck is Black Night & 2 untitled tracks.
The last 2 tracks on "the grief" are from Oxford may'84. I compared them with my oxford tape and they're exactly the same, so I have no clue how they could be confused with the utrecht soundcheck.

Thanks, Dan. I suspected that you would know, but I did not want to bother you specifically with email. I do not have the Oxford, so I could not complare them. I figured that Body and Soul was not part of the soundcheck, but i wanted to make sure.
Thanks again.

Thanks again.

The 2 oxford tracks have been listed as "oxford soundcheck" on someones list. There is no soundcheck for oxford. They've probably been misunderstood because it's a mx desk recording (or VERY good audience recording) so you can't hear much audience, maybe leading some people to think it's from a soundcheck.

What kind of songs is Black Night and the 2 untitled songs? Is it some unreleased songs? Are they good?

It appears to be working for me once more again
The 1st Untitled has some 12-string guitar twiddling (thank you Mr Huss ) then they break into Body and Soul, there's a bit of audience (Roadies?Groupies?Hangers on?) participation at the end.Dan wrote:To be honest, it's pretty crap in my opinion. Just a bit of guitary twiddling. I'm guessing Black Night is supposed to be the Deep Purple(?) song, and the 2 other bits are unrecognisable.
2nd Untitled is a load of twiddling again (sorry I don't recognise the tune )

errr....... Should that not be 12 string guitar...............or was it just a really small one...........The 1st Untitled has some 12-inch guitar twiddling (thank you Mr Huss ) then they break into Body and Soul, there's a bit of audience (Roadies?Groupies?Hangers on?) participation at the end.

I have not downloaded them yet, but maybe you can clearup something for me. Has this thread gone from "no, Body and Soul is not part of the soundcheck" to "yes, Body and Soul is part of the soundcheck"? If Dan says that the Body and Soul portion of The Grief matches what he has from the Oxford gig, then I will assume that that part of the soundtrack is mislabeled.
