Can anyone help my search for more live shows. I've only got Roskilde 93 and a Swedish radio broadcast. Also if anyone has a DVD of the Reading/Glastonbury appearences I would be interested.

If you haven't got their two albums they've just been rereleased in Germany.

Any old merchandise would be groovy too.

I don't have any live shows, but I do have both albums, the Ego EP, Home single and The Desert Song EP.

Good to know they've been re-released. I lost my CD of Scenes From The Second Storey.

The god Machine were absolutely stunning. Their first album is outstanding, their second is excellent up to the last track which is awful!

Good to know the albums have been re-released.

One of my definite favourites and major influences. The God Machine rule! I even managed to get my hands on the Society Line demo, which isn't quite TGM and owes more than a debt to The Cure. Robin has come out saying he's a bit embarrassed about it and I would only advise getting it to absolute completists. I would pm you about live bootlegs, but I think Koen's collection is a bit more extensive than mine.

You'll find more TGM fans here on the board, but you could also head over here and join. It's actually the board of Sophia, the music collective Robin Proper-Sheppard started after TGM's untimely demise, but it has an extensive section on TGM as well, as several fans made the switch to Sophia with Robin (me being one of them) despite Sophia's more acoustic/singer - songwriter vibe. Just don't expect that board to be as dynamic and thriving a community as this one, but Robin checks in often and gets up close and personal with his fans. He's a bit reluctant when it comes to discussing TGM, though, as he wants to keep it in the past.

I've been with Sophia since day one and have caught them live a few times. I've got most of God Machine stuff, only missing the radio sessions and the odd song here and there. The only live stuff i've got is Luxor Cologne 93, Reading 92(rip from Youtube), Hultsfred 93, Roskilde 93. Anything else would be grand.

Looks like you have all I have in terms of bootlegs, hence my referral to Koen and his collection.

By the way, Robin is a top bloke : I've never said this out loud on the Sophia board for obvious reasons, but when the release date of 'There Are No Goodbyes' was announced and turned out to be right after my yearly visit to Slovenia, I jokingly asked Robin in a mail (the purpose of which was to sing the praises of the new songs he previewed on Myspace) whether he couldn't speed up the release, so I could have it with me during my stay there. He then proceeded to surprise me by sending me the entire album on the day of my departure - some ten days in advance of the actual release - in mp3 format, so I could enjoy it during my stay in Slovenia. And I swear, I was only joking about it; he just did that out of his generous nature (the fact I had already preordered the album may have helped

). As I said : top bloke...

Well, I've also followed him into his Sophia thing and only last May he played a really great acoustic concert in my hometown. The man's a charmer, but a moody one... and I like it that way!

Oh, my collection of GM bootlegs isn't that big either. I have some things, but there never was much around as they haven't played that much of course...

I don't DJ round those parts, so any chance for beers + TGM/Sophia is infinitely smaller there than when you'd come to Student City No.1 and enter CafÃ© 33 on a Friday night...
