THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hello,
I'm a new member of this community! I'm Nuno and I'm based in Portugal.
I've seen Sisters of Mercy 4 times here, my first time was in 91 and I'm still a big fan of SOM!
Casually, I was watching the video of "You could be mine" (GN'R) and I noticed at 3'23" the drummer Matt Sorum with this T-shirt (below).
Does this refer to the 1st gig held by Sisters?
cheers

The G'nR drummer wears a shirt with "Sisters" in bold, white.
The other shirt is in bold, white lining, black 'filling'.
If I'm wrong I need glasses or it's the light in the photo or something.

yeah, it's the same shirt, if you watch the video in a normal playing mode you realize it. Although the shirt only appears during...1 sec...

Bem-vindo, Nuno

It wasn't free, cost a tenner as I recall. Still got one, considering wearing it for the XXX gig next year (if I can find it)

Thank you all.
sorry for the portuguese reply to a portuguese member.
I was told to refer the TSOM shows I've attended.
To summarize my answer to him:
Lisbon, 26.3.1991
Ilha do Ermal, 1998
Porto, 2001
Lisbon, 2006.

Had it been free, I'm sure I would have obtained one actually at the gig, rather than having to get one second hand later.

I got mine for free at the Leeds Uni Refectory gig. Can't remember what the case was for the second night at the Leeds Poly gig though.
You had to present a Reptile House card and gig ticket as you walked in and the shirt was handed out in exchange for the ticket.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.
