The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Nah you want something a bit more snappy.

Not really the point of the night I'm afraid. We will play a lot of older music, but it'll be mixed in with contemporary stuff that fits the bill. We might play a bit of Suicide next to some Ulterior or a bit of Motorhead followed by a bit of Rhombus. Who knows?Aazhyd wrote:Back to the eighties.

that sounds a bit like the sonic youth song "theresa's sound-world". which is all very nice, except that i'm not sure if it's something the target audience would appreciateMaisey wrote:I'm edging slowly towards "Maisey's Sound World", ...

It's looking more like Warsaw now. Partly because it sounds suitably bleak, partly because Joy Division are generally liked by pretty much all our target groups and partly because it comes out big on posters.
Although Lord Byron's Crack Den Of Sounds went down very well with all concerned.
