Washing up.... for the music!!!!!!!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hi,

<moronic post>
Ive found myself doing the washing up at home, just so i can pop some music on downstairs (away from upstairs guitar/DVD/PC distractions).

Anyone else do this.... im getting quite worried..... hope a DIY music listening oppertunity doesnt arise!

I did the washing up last night to the mellow tones of "Vision Thang"

.

.

And then I hung around in the kitchen for 20 minutes listening to the rest of the album :D

Stereo in the kitchen. What an idea.

I always like to have some sounds on for the ol' household chores. Best with painting.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Your not alone Paddy. I wired up my speakers into the kitchen/dining room (patio doors) for a summer party we had. I never taken them back into the lounge. Now Mrs JB can watch soaps to her hearts delight whilst I potter in the kitchen listening to the shiney silver things that postie drops through my door. 8)

There's no dodgy paedo pics in the inlay card of the Russian version (Is there any in the "english" version? )

But I'm a big fan of Eastern European music! Khno or Leningrad Cowboys are damn 8) too!

Is it just me, or does the word "hoovering" in a context of The Sisters conjure up a rather different mental image to the one Paddy (probably) means?

Housework on the wire? At least you'd get it done quickly...

Well, my kitchen is part of my living room and I always have music on when cooking / washing up / whatever. Last night it was Motorhead!

Having music in the kitchen is normal for me, although I have not put a stereo under the cupboards yet. I probably would listen to more except that my wife is a better cook than I, so she often claims the kitchen. Granted, that does leave me to wash to dishes afterwards.

@ Paddy, you worry about the oddest things. (By the way, I am still up for a shirt if any more turn up.)

Leningrad cowboys are fantastic :notworthy: :notworthy:
I saw them "perform" at Fairport conventions annual festival years ago.

Their winkle pickers where at least three foot long :!:

Their film "leningrad cowboys do america" wasnt half bad either.

what's with the upstairs & downstairs? You must be well posh, you live in a house...

But every room in my flat has at least a radio/ cassette player available. & I'm the only one who can wash up properly so the kitchen one gets a lot of use.

We all need a soundtrack I reckon.

I tend to listen to the radio whilst washing up/ cooking the Sunday roast - Magic 828 - keeping the eighties alive! Have to put my early Sinatra cd on when I'm cooking lasagne, spaghetti or mousaka. Apart from that, Mrs T does the housework. I tried hoovering once, but she said I hadn't done it right. She cleans for a living, so she has very high standards.
Go to sleep now, Francis.
