It wasn't bad, lot's of hanging around and it was bloody freezing! Good to meet up with people, Pista you sly dog.
That f**king Psydwr has ruined my good looks.
The wee gig was fun, they blew the amps at one point.
I bought a Whitby secret gig T-shirt then Si gave them away
Also managed to clear the air with him which was nice.
And I was royally trollied.

"trollied"
is that what they call it now? It used to be called "fuckintotallyofmyboxcozican'thandlemydrink" in my day...
Glad to meet you, Timbo and Scardy last night and no thanks to the motorway agency who closed the slip road onto the M621 at Elland Road and not put diversion signs out. At least I found out my car does go faster than I thought it did and in turn beat my previous land speed record..
It was also nice of the band not to be arsey about people filming and recording which other bands could take a leaf out off.
Now to disapear for another year.

I had a very good night. It's little slices of inexplicable chaos like last night which make me love living in Leeds so much.
As Weebs said, lots of waiting around in the cold, the band managed to destroy most of their kit and did much of the set without any monitors. At the end of the day it was definitely an "I was there" moment.
Cheers to everyone that was there and as always a big thanks to the Violets for putting in on.

A weird and wonderful night. Small crowd but that just made it more special and personal, like a private party with my fav band playing. Hello to the faces old and new that we met, looking forward to seeing you all in Feb. Does anyone know if anybody recorded the gig, would love to get a copy if only for the crowd filling in when the Lights/sound Goes Out. By the way, if anyone EVER see's me with a bottle of liquid amnesia Psydwr in my greedy mitts, feel free to hit me with the nearest blunt object.

Am not really very knowledgeable about the MV's. Is Rosie Lugosi connected to them? She's playing in Derry tonight and am wondering if it's worth going. It is rather chilly.

Rosie Lugosi is the alter ego of Rosie Garland of the March Violets.
Her act as a solo performer is excellent. Just crass enough be exciting, but easily talented and professional enough to take seriously. Certainly worth venturing the snow for.

There is a good review (with pics) of the Islington Academy gig in the new issue of Terrorizer if anyone fancies a flick through in their local WH Smiths.
