Considering high quality of your work last time, I thank you in advance.

I think Orchestre is where we'd want to be as the other, more expensive ones are seated/on the balconies?
Aha, you might be right about that
Why don't they just use the term 'parterre' then? Crazy Frenchies :innocent:

The venue looks really nice!

i've just edited the France section of the page a little:

a) the multi-coloured text made it very hard to read & understand

and

b) the grammar was a little off

:)

:urff: ... I think it looked much better before!
Now it looks flavourless and unsorted and is no longer in line with the rest of the page ... :urff:

You've gone too far ... in your changes as much as in your expression regarding the reasons ... :( ...   ...

Grammar? ... Please explain. I live to learn ... :D ...

i disagree strongly.

it was hard to read due to every other word being in a different colour.

trust me on this one. i know you might not think it looks as 'pretty' but it's not supposed to be pretty, it's supposed to be readable.

it is very difficult to read passages of text when every other word is a different colour.

the human brain starts looking at the colours and trying to work out why they are different, where the patterns are, etc. and is too busy doing that to actually absorb the meaning of the text.

its basic usability stuff: text should be readable, and links should look like links and look visibly different from the text.

please trust me on this - i do this kind of sh*t for a living.

yeah, i have a problem with the rest of the page too :(

it's also very difficult to read/comprehend due to the constant switching of colours and over-use of quotation marks

didn't mean to upset you, just trying to moderate a website i host.

the wiki is part of the heartland family of sites, and as such i want to to ensure its quality is something i am happy with. in this instance i wasn't happy with it, so i edited it.

admin privileges, innit *shrug*

you wanna see what they'd do if you tried that on wikipedia, or one of the big wikis ;)
Being645 wrote:Grammar? ... Please explain. I live to learn ... :D ...
basically, the wiki is in english and you are not a native english speaker. you write very well, but as happens when many non-natives write in a second language it can sometimes sound a little forced, or unnatural to a native speaker.

some things just aren't expressed as clearly as they could be, that's all. i was just correcting a few things so it sounds more fluent to a native english speaker :)

no reason to be upset. you write far better english than i write any other language. i am stoopid enlgeeze  8)

My question exactly - if I want to be at the best place possible which means at the barrier ;D , should I choose the "Catégorie 3 - ORCHESTRE" option? :?

I think on the first balcony, you will be on the side balconies, so closer to the stage than on the gold seats :)

And do you also know the answer to my question, doctoravalanche, :notworthy: , is "orchestre" the same as "debout"?

i will try my luck on CARRE OR
1er BALCON cause i would like to have all the chances not to have a 10-20 cm taller b***rd ahead, to make me not see the stage at the time i am gonna make some thousand miles to attend this :D

every single one chance to have a clear view is precious :)

Not true, the orchestre is the moshpit.
In other configurations the orchestre can be fully seated but not for this kind of event !!

Ages ago when I had good marks in French at school I recall that "je suis debout" meant "I'm standing". :? :?:
