THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Well, if you ask google:
Clare Moore was the founding superior of the Sisters of Mercy in London (1839), and served with Florence Nightingale during the Crimean War (1854-1856).

That is indeed a good question since official web site mentions about lyrics only: "Lyrics reproduced by kind permission. All rights reserved."
So one of the best the Sisters song have nothing besides "sing" related with AE ?!

I am reminded of the classic 80's werewolf film "An American Werewolf in London" which contains the line "Stay off the Moor"

So,is it Patricia then?

Well, it gets even more complicated by the fact that The Sisters are not even the only band to perform "We are the same, Susanne" or "Suzanne" as it's titled by These Crimson Dreams, which seems to be another side-project, collaborative thing of James Ray's.

Maybe whoever Moor is also has something to do with TCD?

Perhaps Mr. Ray would be kind enough to clarify?

I hate to inject baseless speculation into the discussion, but TCD cite The Sisters as an influence on their site. Perhaps this is just a cover version?

OK, so who is Moor? We're all assuming that Varjak wrote the music right? That would leave the lyrics being written by Moor?

(I think the curiosity of Eldritch singing someone else's words yet the song still being credited as a TSOM song is what has everyone's interest peaked James.)

Maybe Mr. Moor is just the producer of the vid and has nothing to do with lyrics and music?

nope. it's common that in music that authors, if there is no exception, are mentioning in that order: xxx-music/yyy- lyrics

Where is this statement? I can't see any credits at the link given.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.
