Very confusing. Any explanations?

Saw way too many bands to mention there, in my gig going heyday of 1988-94.
Once found myself all of a fluster when I saw a certain Mr Hussey at a Drug Free America gig there, in early 88. Didn't dare approach the great man......just bathed in the holy glow of his presence from a distance instead.
My all time favourite venue was the Manchester Banshee. More of a night club than gig venue but they did put gigs on and I've seen several very dodgy early 90s goffix bands play there...
The Banshee, Manchester
Other good venues in Manc included The International 1 & 2 (saw Christian Death at the int.2 in 1991/1992), and the Boardwalk (saw Rosetta, Cop shoot cop, and loads of other bands there)

Can't believe that I didn't go to that one myself but I've seen them twice this year already & was struggling to get any of my regular gig going buddies to come with me. Busy time of the year and all that.DerekR wrote:Is this thread only for defunct venues then or what? I only ask cos I finally got round to visiting Fibbers in York last night. What a place that is! Give me one good reason
Not been since they've moved it around inside. Is it STILL the hottest (as in sweatbox) venue in the world?DerekR wrote:Is this thread only for defunct venues then or what?
