Grooving In Green + The Last Cry - Leeds - Sat 5th March

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

How do all, here's our second gig of 2011, featuring the postponed appearance of Grooving In Green (who were snowbound in December) and the welcome return of The Last Cry...

GROOVING IN GREEN + THE LAST CRY

Grooving In Green features original Children On Stun members Pete and Si, both of whom consider the band to be a continuation of the Overland era of Stun. Now joined on vocals by Tron (ex Solemn Novena), their live set is made up of Stun classics (up to and including Overland) and new material in the same spirit.

The Last Cry (as they are now) formed 3 years ago, taking their cues from bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode, fashioning a dark atmospheric and dramatic wall of sound which exhibits a coherency, intensity and emotional depth. The band recently released their incredible self-produced debut album 'Walking to the Edge' and last played Leeds to a packed Santiagos last September.
