I recommend two very nice small clubs with a typical jazz atmosphere, they always have some very nice and famous artists, I was never disppointed, they are in the same streets "rue des Lombards":

As for the meeting point I would recommend the Chao Ba Café, 5 minutes by walk to the venue, we could have enough room :) Nice place but don't expect some Sisters music inside ;)

is subway operating also late in nigth on weekends?

For the subway, on friday it is the same hours as saturday ! From monday til thursday it operates til 1 am.
And indeed it's true every first sunday the entrance is free on the national museums :)
