THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. Mr Christo will be out and about with his 'other band' on the following dates -


Jan 22 - The Hop Inn, Cookson St, Blackpool (admission free) 9pm

Mar 30 - Trashfest IV - Semifinal Helsinki, Finland

And on a seperate note...SINGER REQUIRED - "Are you a talented and ambitious LEAD VOCALIST with charisma and presence? Night By Night are upgrading the band's dynamic to a five-piece in order to deliver the most intense, epic and high-octane melodic hard rock we possibly can."

thanks for the info, i live just outside blackpool so will be at the Hop Inn on the 22nd. only a wee place but perfectly formed. oh joy is me!! :D :notworthy:

Interestingly, this gig was removed during 2 months or so, after first being announced already in november.

It's hard to interprete in any other way than that original Sisters tour plans have been shortened. I assume they aren't on the promoters wishlist just yet, after their very recent world tour.

a short but good set last night. but a hell of a weird bunch of punters to go with the venue. reminded us of the bar scene in star wars 1 ??!!
watch out for outside asylum-the support band, bloody good in fact very good.

It was good indeed. Sorry that the boss didn't make it though...
we're better than the birthday party, but not as good as motorhead, that makes us pretty damn good!!!!

yeah, we were supposed to be coming - booked the trains and the bb and everything, but then on the saturday morning i just felt like absolute cr*p. cold, achey, shivery... and a drinking sesh in blackpool seemed like a really, really bad idea :urff:

@smurf, that was myself, and the missus, we will indeed be at the EM gig, and theres a matter of a couple of nights in Leeds before that.

We will be getting the train, an we are staying at the Etap, cause we got a room at the stupildly low price of £18 per night....
