YCBTO - a confession

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I really cannot put my finger on why I thought I didn't like it. I played it several times recently and found myself singing along!

I think it's an okay song. But I'm glad he put it on a B-side instead of putting it on the album... it wouldn't fit well next to the other songs, cause the tone of the lyrics is just too different.

Well production-wise it would fit perfectly... but it just feels 'lighter' than the Vision Thing songs to me.

I remember reading that Eldritch was annoyed that the record company put Torch on the end of the Floodland CD... same thing, it just has a different mood to the album tracks.

Does he ever perform You Could Be The One live?

Does he still sing the line "Run your fingers through my hair"?

Torch worked quite well on the Floodland cassette, stuck at the end of side 1.
