1st series was superb, Gilbert the 80's Ghost was such a brilliant episode, so well done, but then they turned the 2nd series into an extended episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - not watched it since

You should - the second series turned round nicely and the third has been superb, really pushing the character arcs for all of them into some great places. Last weeks even had a TYPE 4 ! I watched the whole of the 2nd series and was left disappointed by every episode. The point of the show was that they were "normal" twenty-thirty somethings, and had to cope with being stuck in a crap job, love-life, financial problems, etc, but they also had to deal with the fact that they were also a (Polter)ghost, a Vampire and a Werewolf. It was such an original idea and for me it worked superbly, and was such classic TV. Even the pilot which featured 2 different actors in the main roles was brilliantly done.Carpathian Psychonaut wrote:You should - the second series turned round nicely and the third has been superb, really pushing the character arcs for all of them into some great places. So why ruin it by turning it into a copy of "Buffy" or "Angel"

There's a lot of that in the third series - the day to day 'human' stuff. It's hard to give examples without spoiling some huge plot twists but there's plenty there amongst the ongoing story arc.

You say that like it's a bad thing...Big Si wrote:...an extended episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ...

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

The disturbing thing about the most recent episode (the one where George visits his father), my missus noticed that the cushion covers in Georges mothers house were exactly the same as ours...horrifying!!!
