Ok some good music, but thinking Venom and Black Sabbath are godfathers of all metal genres is a bit far-fetched, and poins off for calling Accept Speed-Metal!
Three times Slayer in Thrash Metal when you miss out on Sodom, for example.
Maybe Simon can shed a word or two about the trad Doom Metal section
Also, NADGERS is in the Drone Metal sections, and so is OYF (ain't that stoner?)!
Ah, same old, they completely miss the point sometimes but nevertheless they did a nice job considering it is no use labelling stuff AND that webpage is choke-full of GOOD FECKING MUSIC, so thanks James!

OYF certainly ain't Stoner, they invented the DRONE and are well acknowledged Godfathers thereofIzzy HaveMercy wrote:Also, NADGERS is in the Drone Metal sections, and so is OYF (ain't that stoner?)!

You guys might like this. My mate Rob works his bollocks off putting it all together as well as managing a Krautrock band that I'll save for another thread on another day!

Sorry JB, as confused by your last post as you may be by mine!! I haven't explored your link yet - just saw that it was metal related and thought that there might be something of interest at the Home of Metal page as most of the people reading this presumably dig denim & leather
