Agree, one of the highlights of the set 2011, a pity it's not a Sisters song.dtsom wrote:Gift that Shines were superb in Leeds

Speaking of which, it would be great if the chairman could (mis)inform us about any upcoming new Sisters song?

Is Rain From Heaven technically a cover?
Either way, it's too long and dragged out - but what do I know?

Yeah, a song should make its point in 3 minutes. Yeah.Norman Hunter wrote:Is Rain From Heaven technically a cover?

Just like Gift that shines in my head too...mh wrote:Aside from the fact that bloody Pipeline is stuck in my head now, it's been mighty fine.

Top Nite Out was Adam's. I wonder whether that's why it's been dropped?
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

I don't think so, no one it's butthurt with Adam (or that's what they make us belive)markfiend wrote:Top Nite Out was Adam's. I wonder whether that's why it's been dropped?

One can hope. I have nothing against Adam, he has written some fine tunes, but it's good if they phase out his things, I think. Those should be replaced by new songs, however.markfiend wrote:Top Nite Out was Adam's. I wonder whether that's why it's been dropped?
That said, the real reason is probably just that feels like playing covers and then they don't have time for TNO.

So far we have been treated to a RLYL cover, a Chantay's/Dick Dale/Johnny Thunders cover and a Bowie cover.Chairman Bux wrote:Are you enjoying the covers so far?

Any word on new Sisters songs, such as Far Parade?

Well, I've been learning to play pipeline and I was very impressed with The Lorries cover done on both Leeds gigs, so I guess that qualifies as a hearty yes.

Gift That Shines ... very well chosen - with regard to bringing a, say defined current basis across,
thus marking the present, as well as an open field for future Sisters songs ... maybe ... well, not necessarily ... ...
good, however, it's been done ... ...
Pipeline ... so sweet and lovely ... suits The Sisters perfectly, per-fect-ly ... ...
John, I'm Only Dancing ... love it anyway, and for the (necessary)
"strategic" leeway it offers. Funny word "strategic" here, but it works,
I think. Very useful.
... ... I like them all. Looking forward to what's to come ... ...

Very Groovy. But there's a lack of Barbara Gaskin...Chairman Bux wrote:Are you enjoying the covers so far?
