Best post-Vision Thing Tour?
I guess this one is for regular Sisters gig go-ers. I voted for 1998 - superb performances, some relatively new songs and the Sister Ray thingy as 3rd encore at most summer festival gigs.

Trip the lights fantastic.
M'era Luna 2000 was amazing (and it was the last time I thought, The Sisters could really get into the 21st century) and "Crash & Burn" kicked ass!

Impossible to say, Simon, having only been to one gig per tour (usually). Best gig was NEC 92, so I'll say that one. Not so impossible after all.

I only have weeds and purchased boots to go by so my top nite out would be Philadelphia 1997, saw them at The Barrowlands this year but, much as I enjoyed it, I don't think they were firing on all six.

I was going to say exactly the same. The Philli gig (kindly weeded by zaltys7) is superb. Eldritch sounds like he is back into 'logic' in a big way, if you know what I mean. Hilarious and highly entertaining.Red Sunsets wrote:I only have weeds and purchased boots to go by so my top nite out would be Philadelphia 1997, saw them at The Barrowlands this year but, much as I enjoyed it, I don't think they were firing on all six.
I wish I could say 2003 but when I went to The Dam to see them I became so enamoured with the Dutch way of life I was incapable of finding The Heineken Music Hall.

Oan the right hand side of the stage, drinking cans of Miller at £2 a pop! and sitting down cause I'm such a lard ass. I think the gig woulda been better at the Carling Academy, ambience and beer wise

I know people who have been - the Academy is a rip off! Warm overpriced beer, and overzealous bouncersRed Sunsets wrote:Oan the right hand side of the stage, drinking cans of Miller at £2 a pop! and sitting down cause I'm such a lard ass. If you think £2 a can is bad the astoria is now charging £3 fooking quid a can!
For London that's probably still very cheap!JonnyDelphium wrote:If you think £2 a can is bad the astoria is now charging £3 fooking quid a can!

Heh. It ain't easy is it. I was far happier this October, knowing I didn't have any such 'troublesome' burdens to overcome.Steve303 wrote:I was going to say exactly the same. Scardy, who was at Glast in 92? That wasn't a Happy Mondays / scallyfest was it?
And yeah, NEC93 was also highly stonking, though if I remember right the whole hall wasn't open for the gig.

That's right, but at least they didn't insist on removing all studded items like the preious year.

God yeah, I remember the queue to retrieve such 'items'. Fortunately I think bangles were about as accessorised as I could manage. I still miss my white 92 t-shirt as well. In 93, our lift back to Leeds insisted on turning the wrong way down the M42 on the way back. That added a good coupla hours onto the journey. That is very, very true Derek, it was for Neverland (a fragment) though. As I'm sure you are all aware of by now, my most very favourite Sisters track.
