Right...it's time we all started thinking about this....
Have you started planning your funeral yet?.....Go on, you could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Or die of head cancer. And the last place you'd like to trust other people is at your own funeral, right? Unless you want to risk your box going out of sight to the sounds of 'Bird of Passage' by The m*****n............?
As they've been fairly reflective of my way of thinking about things for the last 20 years, I guess The Sisters deserve a place in my party to end all parties somewhere. Trouble is, I can't settle on anything. Will my parents laugh along to 'On The Wire' as I disappear behind the curtain? Maybe 'Fix' will present problems for the rhythm of the pallbearers as they stride in unison towards the altar? Maybe 'Blood Money' will inflame the passions of those hoping to claim my signed copy of the 'Blue Peter' annual 1979 (white label: the Bleep and Booster remix)?
Anyway, I'm fairly settled on the following:
Entrance: 'Blood On The Motorway' by DJ Shadow
All exit: 'Movin' On Up' by Primal Scream
Any suggestions for incidental music or, indeed, alternative entrance and exit music will be carefully considered.
Before it's too late....
Your funeral my trial

Hmmm...I expect you'll have a fair number of mourners sobbing along - but I think there'll be a few in the house blushing as well...JonnyDelphium wrote:the obvious choice has to be "Bury Me Deep"...but why be obvious
I left my heart in Ballycastle...
Don't fuss over someone who wasn't worth remembering. That's my advice to anyone who knows me.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish" on the grave stone.
Play whatever music you want BUT DON'T HAVE A FL*PPING PARTY! I'M BL*NKING WELL DEAD, REMEMBER!

O joy, I get to quote "Gentleman" Jim Reeves's version of "Streets of Laredo":
Bring sixteen tall cowboys to carry my casket
Ten pretty women to sing me a song
Take me to the green valley -
There lay the sod over me
I want a funeral like that. The cowboy melee alone would be worth rising from the dead for.

Lol,
I planned my funeral when I was nine years old. I gave the details the poems, the 45's to my mom to make sure that it would be carried out. Unfortunatley she died before me...

Why don't you ask the kids at Tiananmen Square
Was fashion the reason why they were there?
They disguise it, hypnotize it
Television made you buy it

Engame from Michael Nyman's Drowning By Numbers soundtrack as the coffin disappears - fade to black- as the mourner(s) leave... Wake Up Dead by Megadeth blasts out!
