Here it's my (poor) translation

Gothic Nite Out
by Paulo Cavalcanti

In the middle of smoke and excessive lights, Sisters of Mercy made us remember a lot of gothic-rock classics in Sao Paulo.
Andrew Eldritch it's the very only member of the Original Sisters of Mercy - in the middle of a lot of smoke and lights, some people still belive he is just sing with playback.
In this third Visit at Brazil, the British Group Sisters of Mercy, make an inferior Hype(Less excitation), but they just made a good joob and a good gig.
The first time who Sisters played on our territorry it was in 90' , they came back in 2006 may - in sao paulo, in a gig with several expectatives and very waited for the brazilian fans.
Sao paulo have a big gothic nation, with some guys who just dreamed his entire life to see a sisters gig .
The Via Funchal, where they played, was totally sold-out(in 2006), but at last sunday,6(2009) Sisters have a great audience, but was very far to be sold-out.

Who putted on your Black Clothes, just doesn't care if they will see a huge gig or not. they was there to sing a long with the band, the classic songs who created our Gothic Rock in the middle of 80 and 90.

It was the same stuff that in 2006, The Singer and Leader, Andrew Eldritch, The Only survivor from the original line-up,Who looks like a mixture of Quasimudo(The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and The Phantom of Opera. While Singin', the signer seens invisible in the middle of the smoke and lights at the stage, on Eldritch sides, a little more visible, was the guitar players Ben Christo and Chris Catalyst. And all the rhythimc -drum and bass- was been genrated, as usual, by Doktor Avalanche, some kind of Drum Machine, who is with the band a long a go.

The Problem with the sisters gig, it's simple: some times it's just impossible to see something at the stage, and the band, always turn off the Big-Screens.And this only give more enphasis on that theory who Eldritch just Sing with playbacks.
Well, with Playbacks or not, in 90mins, the following songs where played: Marian, Vision Thing, 1959 , Dominion, FALAA, Corrosion, Lucretia, Alice e Temple - This last one, putting end at the gig.
The interaction with the audience was almost null, The sisters prefeers to send his messages throug the songs. But it wasn't big deal, the happiness of the Black Clothed People, was maded by the usual pick of Good songs that Andrew Eldritch and the Band always do.

Personal Coments: f**k, i was there(in 2006 and 2009), in 2009 wasn't a lot of smokes, in fact, it was only 2 smoke machines working.
Via Funchal was totally sold-out at the gig's day.
PLAYBACKS? WTF? i'was on the first line, just above Von, and well, they just missed some lyrics of Flood II and singed the first verse of FALAA in stead of the second.
And , why they just doesn't stop to say GOTH GOTH GOTH? it'was pretty offensive.
Sisters of Mercy? I've just thinking the band's called THE sisters of mercy
And to finish: 1959? Oh there it is, this f**king editor just doesn't was in the gig.
Srsly RollingStone, 1959?
