Recently recieved the above gig from cell3 and i think it was originally weeded by Solitude. After a request from Big Si asking if it was complete i checked and found it to have one track too many , namely this has the addition of body electric after alice, where as the gig of the above date doesnt
May 24 1984
Electric Ballroom, London, England
Burn / Heartland / Body and Soul / Anaconda / Walk Away / Emma / Floorshow / Adrenochrome / Alice / Sister Ray
So did
a....The gig listings for this date are wrong
b....its a different gig and if so which?
Some clues, inbetween alice and sister ray the mc of the gig announces"All right me old fruits lets get ourselves together and lets have another one from the sisters of mercy"I would guess this makes it a UK gig,and the only matching setlist from this year is at Bristol trinity Hall , 6 days earlier
May 19 1984
Trinity Hall, Bristol, England
Burn / Heartland / Body and Soul / Anaconda / Walk Away / Emma / Floorshow / Adrenochrome / Alice / Body Electric / Sister Ray
Other clues.....gimme Shelter is not played , pretty rare for this period, assuming the gig is complete.....
Before first track Von says "at least im not as hot as you are fella"
Before body and soul says "besides im the one with a large piece of metal"
before Floorshow says "This is called Adrenochrome"
So any ideas.............

Hmm, if it is wrong then I apologise! The track listing is shorter on Hals page, buts the same track listing is on the Sisters Trading page:

I'm sure someone will be able to verify it!

Just remember this. This rabble you keep talking about does most of the working, paying and dying in this community.
CellThree wrote:Khepri, are you saying that this gig is definately the Trinty Hall Bristol one?
no , Electric Ballroom
I've listened to my tape and i'm sure i can hear a needle hitting a record, just before Emma. Can't find this listed as a boot LP anywhere, but SR is, so maybe it's spliced from two records
mostly you see the gig listed as Christer's site but i have seen one or two with GS also included

Thanks Khepri II
But I hate incomplete gigs

My Electric Ballroom 24.5.84 has Body Electric. Don't pay too much attention to tracklists you find on sites, as many of them have songs missing. I think its cos many of the cassettes don't have all the song titles written down, and people just copy the tracklist onto the site.

Nothing ventured, nothing lost
for some reason GS is often the fall guy. See for example Dienze 1984elguiri wrote:In which case it would mean its complete ...........unless of course Khepri is right ...........then its still missing gimme shelter
