** Media Alert ** Every TOTP from 1976 onwards

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

From April 1st, BBC4 will be showing every Top Of The Pops episode in full, one per week, from April 1st 1976 onwards (the archive is incomplete prior to this). If the audience figures are sustained it will continue weekly right up to the end of the show in 2006. Especially looking forward to the post punk stuff, and Japan obviously!

Old Grey Whistle Test next?

Edit: It just struck me that at the current rate of transmission it will be 5 years before we get to any Japan stuff. 11 years before we reach the Sisters. That's a slightly over-excited use of the term 'alert' I suppose. Sorry about that, I'm off the sauce at the moment and I'm not used to Sunday mornings. Back to bed... :innocent:
I am a Leeds United fan because I was very naughty in a previous life.
