I'm more interested in the fact that after a six hour train journey the hotel is actually at the railway station!sam1 wrote:It might look splendid,,,,but wait till you go out of the front door onto Gordon Street...at night...looking for a taxi....it's not for the faint heartedribbons69 wrote:Room booked at the rather splendid looking Glasgow Grand Central Hotel

Sounds good to me.However, having looked at GoogleEarth it doesn't seem that far to the venue anyway, although doubtless it will take longer to walk back than to walk theremerrisl wrote:We're stopping there too....mainly due to the fact the the train back home in the morning is at 06:20am !!

Start one! Hoping for those elusive days tickets, or as Scardy pointed out to me, try a last minute ebay thing. Still not too sure on getting to and from Glasgow at the mo.paint it black wrote:is there a thread about how to get from Glasgow to Sonisphere pls and are you all getting 3 day tickets for one gig
Matt..
I'll be travelling from Glasgow to Welwyn Garden City (via Edinbourgh and Peterborough) on a train which leaves Glasgow at 8.45 AM on 8th July. That's all I know - the train ticket was booked by AndrewS and he knows all the details (we will be travelling together). He's not much on the Internet these days (crashed computer), but I can PM you his telephone number (if you don't have it), so he can tell you the details.paint it black wrote:is there a thread about how to get from Glasgow to Sonisphere pls and are you all getting 3 day tickets for one gig
And yes I bought the 3 day ticket for Sonisphere and I plan to camp and go all rock'n'roll.
