I really like what she did with the song, musicwise.
but to me, the way she sings it is exacly the opposite of what the song is all about.
it simply does not work for me.
so no I don't like it. sorry

Another Shade of You.
I am wondering if covers are more likely to be appreciated when the genre is clearly different. With the Sisters cover of comfortably numb the genre is not that different from the original. Maybe that's what makes it that people here don't like it. Or it can be that you and the other dude like the original so much that yiu dislike every interpretation.markfiend wrote:I don't understand what you're asking.Anachonda wrote:And Radiohead, David Bowie, Easy Star All-Stars, Eric Prydz, to name a few?markfiend wrote:Bloody hell the Scissor Sisters...

I actually like The Sisters Of Mercy's version of Comfortably Numb, but I absolutely detest The Scissor Sisters' version. But on the whole, I think you may be onto something...
I first heard TSOM do Comfortably Numb at the Birmingham NEC 29 June 1992 (bloody hell 19 years ago...) and I nearly died laughing. It just seemed so appropriate somehow.
