Is the reason Eldritch has never played Jihad live because he's had second thoughts about the title? Could be taken the wrong way by the crowd, possibly. Or maybe it's 'cause Pat Morrison's intro brings back bad (or possibly good) memories...
Too bad, I love the track!

The lyrics aren't much, are they?

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Aye, a couple of hours ago. At least it worked as a chant, but spending up to 8 minutes with just the occasional shout of "Jihad!" or "Two, five..." would be verging on ridiculous, even by their standards.

Jihad!
From what I hear Murphy say, he is more of the Sufi kind. Didn't sound like he was interested in killing nonbelievers or waging any sort of war. (except on Brendan Perry maybe )Suleiman wrote: Or a less secret one like Peter Murphy...

We got the best track off that album into the live set.
I'm eternally grateful.
