Shocking - the SistersWiki has fully crashed ... ...
Database error
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

(SQL query hidden)

from within function "SqlBagOStuff::get". Database returned error "145: Table './admin_sisterswiki/objectcache' is marked as crashed and should be repaired (localhost)".
Oh hell ...        ...

Ooo. I'll take a look and see if I can sort it out. I don't know exactly how the wiki software works but I might be able to work it out...

just potted this.

fixed it by running this:

Code: Select all

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `objectcache`;
CREATE TABLE `objectcache` (
  `keyname` varchar(255) character set latin1 collate latin1_bin NOT NULL default '',
  `value` mediumblob,
  `exptime` datetime default NULL,
  UNIQUE KEY `keyname` (`keyname`),
  KEY `exptime` (`exptime`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1;
thanks for the tip off laz :)

Oh. I just ran

Code: Select all

REPAIR TABLE objectcache
Didn't realise you were in there too QB

yeah, i tried that a few times but it said the table was in use :urff:

think the db must have crashed and broke the table

dropping and recreating seems to have done the trick though.

I guess the repair only worked because you'd rebuilt the table then

I'll keep this thread bookmarked in case it happens again.

Oh hell, that looks like hieroglyphics to me ...  ...

Millions of thanks to all of you, however. Nothing has got lost and the SistersWiki works like ever before ... ;D :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

BTW, did you notice that I've set the Contents Table in the Gigography to the right hand side?
It's much better this way. And I don't think that this has caused the crash ...  :?: ...
Maybe you could please check the hieroglyphics I've copied from somewhere else
(and changed them slightly deleting only the stuff that would have created a "documentation page").
Still, there are so many brackets in it and I wonder whether all of these are necessary ...
<div style="clear: {{{clear|right}}}; margin-bottom: .5em; float: right; padding: .5em 0 .8em 1.4em; background: none; width: {{{width|{{{1|auto}}}}}};" {{#if:{{{limit|}}}|class="toclimit-{{{limit}}}"}}>__TOC__</div>

No problem - glad it worked!

Although I want to formally register my despair at the engine being MyISAM and the character set being Latin1 - shouldn't everything be InnoDB/UTF-8 these days?

OK, I have double-checked this now myself ... it is indeed ok this way.
And I've created an according template so that content boxes can now easily be shifted to the right, where appropriate, by the shorter {{TOC right}} ...

So, now as to make it clear to everybody interested:

From now on, the SistersWiki is open again for new users to register an account and edit, upload pictures, add information to the SistersWiki, etc ... ;D ...

* repeated kudos go to Quiffboy, who did a great job there ... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: ...

http://sisterswiki.org/Special:RequestAccount

As you may note, accounts are granted on request - plus on solving some questy captcha ...
both of which should serve no problem to any Sisters follower ...
It might take a day or two, though, before your account is confirmed, so no worries ... ...
