WYDSM

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

The Wiki says:
* Germany only release, still managed to chart in the UK on imports alone.
Can't find any evidence of that.
Does anybody know whether it's true or not?

Evidence of whether it was a German import or that it charted in the UK?

It was certainly a German import - I remember buying it when it was released, and it was marked as such in the shop (maybe a sticker on the shrink wrap?).

I can't remember the chart position, but Wikipedia says it didn't chart in the UK.

Edit after checking: also, back of the 12" sleeve states it's a "Warner Brothers Germany" release, followed a couple of lines in German that I don't have the skill/wit to translate.

Hi ... :) ... and sorry for having been slightly unclear ... I was asking about the charts.

Some sort of Charts have been integrated into the Wiki lately ... but the Wikipedia ones are way better ... funny, I didn't find them ...

I'll set a link over there, elaborate ours and delete that sentence.

Thanks, lazarus corporation!!! ... :notworthy: ...

Some Google-fu reveals: http://www.theofficialcharts.com/artist ... f%20mercy/

Seems like total bunk in other words.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
