Aye, we may have one-upped ourselves
But yes, as you may have seen yesterday when Dominion leaked it a bit earlier than planned, we've booked THE MARCH VIOLETS to come play their first gig on Scottish soil in 20 years.
This will be on the 16th of July, at The Classic Grand, Glasgow.
Support comes from the excellent Luxury Stranger.
Tickets are available from www.musicnonstop.co.uk, and for £15, you get a March Violets t-shirt and badge, plus of course, free entry to the aftershow in the Classic Grand.
Event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=1 ... 884&ref=ts
So I expect to see some of you people from In-Ger-Land and elsewhere coming up for this rarity.

I'm using my one trip north a year to see The Sisters, I will however shout Mon at the Violets at the Leeds gig.
Congratualtions BTW, it's going to be a blinder!

@ Weebs....your round at the bar....or is it Timbo's....?
@ Ems.... all 3 of us are coming over to Norwich for the gig (only one of us is going the gig as the other will be babysitting) and were staying in the Travelodge (central). We get into Norwich at 5pm so feel free to come out for dinner with us....looking at a witherspoons or chinese?
@ Mr Blast.... again all 3 of us are coming to Glasgow (again only one of us is going the gig as the other will be babysitting) so do you fancy meeting up before the gig? I know your not going but it would be nice for Mark to meet some of them scottish alkies that his dad watches on the telly (Rab C Nessbit...Still Game etc etc...lol).

hey snowey! will bear in mind!
you'd be better off at the norwich central riverside travelodge, it's about 200 yards from the marquee. not that the other one is far, just that it's not opposite. or near train station. or round the corner from the main curry street... and wetherspoons not far either!

@ James....oh yes, all meat eaters in our house.
@ Ems. The Travelodge is already booked as it was only £19 for a family room. As long as it's got a bed I don't care where it is...lol. C U there.

Would love to go to this if I could afford it.
Mainly so I could drink an Al Fresco McEwans with Heir Blast.

No show for the Violets, Mr B?
Should have asked Hawkwind instead, I guess...
Cheers Maisey and Mr 303. It's gonna be quite the challenge, but for our first two gigs to be The March Violets and Sex Beat.. well, hopefully we can get some other auld g0ffs up again another time. Which means you Leeds bois had better get perfecting your songs, lest I need a support act.

That's high praise, and ye'll definitely be missed. Gimme a shout whenever the Blast-B-Que is being fired up, and provided I can make it there and back, I'll be round with all the cheese and mushrooms I can findJames Blast wrote:Sorry K, I'm jist no fit enuff for rock concerts these days and bowing out with BAD a couple of weeks ago seems like a positive end.

Dunno about Eric, but never say never. Either way, with 2 gigs and starting a new night in Embra, July is gonna be a hell of a month.

Just a wee bump, in case anyone's missed this.
Tickets Scotland still have tickets, and we'll have some on the door, but postal ones from MusicNonStop probably won't be available for much longer.
Come oan!

In all fairness that picture makes the place looked packed which in reality it looked only half full!! well it did were I was standing.
Not a bad gig, certainly better than the Leeds gig the other week. Liked the raised bit to the right of the stage were I was able to film from and nice to meet up with Scardy (the drugs mule...lol) and Andrew S.
