I am a New Zealander. When I saw this thread I was all ready to buy the Japan tix on the grounds of "this is as close as they'll ever get..."

I vow to go to as many of the Asian gigs as humanly possible and allowable by the the fine people at Peyote Corp, Chatline Colombia Inc, and the people who brought you Absinthe Slammers.

I will do my best to report all happenings and going-ons to those of you not on the front-lines.

Any and all who may be going to Japan, let me know and we can meet up. :)

A natural progression.

Sharing the stage with Motorhead at Knebworth followed by gig in Japan supporting Spinal Tap.

Apparently Alice has gone top 10 over there so cash in guys.

Can we have some pictures of Mr St Hubbins & co please.

Im just a messenger.

(Quietly unlurks) I had given up hope that they would ever make it to Oz and was contemplating Japan too, but not at those prices! Hope they do. They would go down a storm here and I'm long overdue a Sisters gig, I last saw them on the XX tour.
smug as hell, they're coming...

According to the myspace page of Jürgen Jansen, july 29 is the date they play Fuji Rock.

At least Jürgen himself returns to Europe immediately as it seems.

We talked about it in the queue for Helsinki and it seems that no, no one we can think of is going (except Nobue of course, and probably many other Japanese people  ). Although I have an impression that some people would be tempted if there was more than one gig scheduled there, and/or if they were going to be indoor gigs rather than a big festival. For one festival gig the trip seems just too expensive and too exhausting.
Oh, and it requires flying. :urff:

I'm pretty sure I saw some fans exiting Schengen through the passport control about the same time as the Sisters at the airport, could have been for the UK of course but it didn't make sense with the departure times for London.
Saw a short fellow (yet taller than the japanese around him) walk through security with some large extra equipment, disguised in a St Pauli hoodie and black clothes so nobody would recognize him  Interesting effect is that when you're used to seeing someone in shades all the time, the eyes look very small when the shades are off.
Don't know if it was because he's a rock star or has a pacemaker/whatever, but he wasn't searched at all although the detector was beeping ;D

Later I saw Ben *with* shades, looking lost but steadily stalking behind all Japanese people through the passport exit.

There, some airport impressions instead of worthy gig news :P

Don't want to alarm anyone, but my friend Clare who lives in Tokyo sent me a mail a few hours ago, where she spoke of being in the midst of a heavy tyfoon. Torrential rain, thunder, lightning, mud- as well as landslides and consequently evacuations etc. She was originally going to watch TSOM, but now she's glad she didn't. Depending on how bad the weather is, there might not even have been a gig at all...

hell, that sounds very good ... ;D :notworthy: ;D :notworthy: ;D :notworthy:
This is a set that is rock n rollicly correct.

Those who chose to stay rather than head out for a good spot for Coldplay were rewarded with “This Corrosion followed by “Temple of Love to finish which is, I’ll wager, a better gift than anything Coldplay will give tonight.
... ... ... Image Image Image

Now we need the rest of the setlist ... :D ...
