What was the first cassette/Lp/CD/*-track you bought ever.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

'cept my sleeve was white with the same images. Tinkerbell would 'twinkle' to let you know when to turn the page. My favourite story was about the nymph Clytie who turned into a sunflower. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww

The first 7" singles I 'owned' were bought for me - the best of which was 'Way Down' by Elvis - the song that was in the charts when he died. :(

Cassette: 'Mask' by Bauhaus - remember sending off for it from one of those ads in the back of the NME.
LP: 'Still' by Joy Division - got my big brother to buy it for my birthday

Other than MILLION VOICES, GARBAGE MAN & BLAST you all had atrocious taste in music.

First record I ever bought myself was Chaos AD by Sepultura as a young innocent 14 year old. I didn't stay innocent after listening to it.

7": Banshees - Hong Kong Garden (I think)
12": Sisterhood - Gift
CD: Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret (first music I ever bought. Explains a lot)
mp3: OPM - Heaven Is A Halfpipe (haters gonna hate, that's still a choon to dance to)

Cannae remember the first cassette I bought. First 8-track was a Deep Purple one, but I have no way of playing it.
