New DVD?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Sadly, as the description says:

"We took on editing the filmic delights for The Sisters Of Mercy 2011 tour! Hooray for hours of nonsense."

- it's the various film/TV clips which were shown on the screens during the 2011 tour (I did watch them for a bit before the 1st Leeds gig, but can't remember what the content was - certainly not clips of the Sisters, though)

Ah, ok. That sucks.

I have not seen them yet on the 2011 tour so I did not know they showed clips before the show.
Too bad, for a second there I actually thought something would happen.
I should have known better.

You really should have. :)

Go back and take a look at the discussion of new records/singles from the late 90's on the tours.tsom.org site. It's pathetic. At least the Record News on the official page 404's now. That's slightly less pathetic.

I don't remember them showing it at Glasgow. Maybe it was just for Leeds?
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

It is interesting though that it is says that it is in post-production, meaning that it is not done yet. And so far ASH TV has been pretty up to date.

They were shown in Tilburg.

There's a quiet consent among anyone who's been a Heartlander for a while that there's more chance of a pig being sucked into the turbines of a high altitude 747 than there is of Eldritch allowing any more official Sisters recordings to fall into our grubby mitts. You do know it's his punishment to us for all dressing up in black at his shows, don't you?

First time I saw them (Philly 97) I wore blue jeans and white Sick Of It All t-shirt ;)

But I was embarrassed for humanity that day, let me tell you.

I always thought the lack of... anything was because he knew the new material was not good enough for a good sounding recording. Which is why I, in my infinate stupidity, for a second thought it would be a new DVD or... anything.

But you are probably right about the black clothes. So I still wear them.

I've really come 'round to the view that we'll never have any new material because he simply can't be bothered. Which really is a shame, simply because I do think most of the new (?!) songs are quite good, and would be stonking in studio renditions.

If we could just get them without the noise and clapping and talking and ....
