Slightly depressed.... (CBPOB)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Skype does odd things with the audio/video settings - I find I have to correct it every time. You want to take a look under Tools/Options/Audio, Video settings.

Saw and witnessed today: just like Belgium, Cornwall, UK has utter pricks on the roads in big SUVs honking an giving me the finger when I missed an exit near A38. Arseholes... put up more signposts, and this would not have happened.

I'd love to see them try driving on the right, of course Belgium has broader and better roads and more signposts (which is not always a good thing, because we exaggerate in that I know )

Household ructions!
We got a new kitten, after mother dearest couldn't make said kitten and her old cat Sophie get along. When Mister, our small dog sized, battle scarred one-eyed ginger tom ambled along to give the kitten a welcoming sniff, the kitten reacted with understandable terror and hissed, to which Mister took great umbrage. We now have two households, my partner and the kitten in one room, me and Mister in the other. And I so like a quiet orderly household.. :(

Today, a friend send me a message about a common friend of ours. He worried about. I send him message that i will try to contact her and at least try to see if she is ok. I took the number, she answered, heard my voice recognized me for sure and close the phone. Rang again and no answer.

Funny thing how some people throw away their mates after some years :?

James, it's not the driving on the left that bothers me (with a steering weel ALSO on the left of the car, I might add ;) ), not even the small road (although some of them are quite scary here...), but the fact that a lot of drivers here seem to forget that I am the one helping their economy a bit, something that was the reason for some minor ruckus a couple of miles to the east, I seem to recall ;)

Oh, it happened to me too many times... (too many depressed/complexed friends.. :.P ), I completely understand your frustration. Some of them disappeared for ever but some just had a rough time and later came back into my life, even after several good years.
If she is a true good friend, then she will be there again when she's out of her s**t situation. The only thing that you can do is show her that you are always there for her..

you sound like Modern Family! :notworthy:

Mister will have to get used to kitten's ways! Kitten is scared of Mister but give it time, let them sniff and hiss at each other for awhile. Once they are used to each other there will be peace in the household. Kitten will win within reign eventually so take loads of walks and talks with Mister make him feel safe. If that doesn't work.. seperate households.

At the moment we're allowing them brief glimpses of each other before a formal introduction. Let them get used to seeing and smelling each other and so on, so forth. I don't anticipate any pecking order problems, as I have already established myself as Head Cat with Mister (He used his litter tray and didn't cover it to show his dominance, I chased him around the house screaming "Who's Head Cat??" to show mine. It was either that or use the litter tray myself, and it was vetoed by the rest of the household).

seriously you need to take footage of all this happening! i can see it in my mind, but i'm sure it's more hilirious than it sounds. indeed the introduction of smelling and sniffing each other will help. don't go there...to the litter tray yourself!  that's just going too far! if anything please send me photos of this chaos it would be greatly appreciated! and loads of luck with the rest of the household!
