Now seriously, it was a great gig, on my way to Belgium on the night train I was listening to Gift That Shines and I thought what a pity this song has disappeared from the setlist, it's so beautiful and sounds like meant for Andrew and nobody else to sing it, so - haha - imagine how happy I was to hear the song again in Stekene! Besides, as usually in Belgium, all the people I met were friendly and the drinks were good and the journey was smooth (although long), and my cat is much better now, almost walking properly again. :D Now time to start saving some cash for November. :D

I haven't really got anything to add to the previous reviews, it was a fun summer evening in a field in Belgium. It was great to see people again after something like a month or two since we last met! My gig photos are rubbish but I'll upload soon some photos of people there because really we all want to see ourselves in other people's photos.

And in that vein, Andrew you're on the Crammerock Facebook page!

Enjoyed the gig, not their best but I've seen worse. If interested in my recording of the show, go check the sharing section :-)
Nice to see some of the Heartlanders btw.

That was a pretty awesome gig. Damn... Stood in the second row for half of the gig, being crushed between a lady and some bearded man.

Awesome setlist and performance. I loved it when he took out the bass guitar.

I have some very poor shaky phone pictures somewhere, but pics posted here are pretty awesome!

Also, did Andrew really walk about the park? I only got there at about 8:30PM, bloody long walk from the car park to the festival.

EDIT: Anyone remembers the loud smashing on one of the tent's pillars during Das Pop? We were standing next to these guys, we managed to shut them idiots up after a while.

A nice festival with loads of kids and youngster accompanied by their parents or friends ... that was lovely to see and very pretty to see how the people of Stekene were really committed to make the whole event a pleasure to everybody.
Though until next time, I hope they think again before locating the parking half a mile away from the campsite with temperatures of way above 30 degrees celsius and showers opening at 9 pm ... ...

As to The Sisters gig, what else could I possibly say than, hey that was lovely ...  ...

Lots of surprises and experimenting and all of this in very clear sound with the guitars pretty balanced ... so that it was a pleasure to be able to follow the solos ... :notworthy: ... nice ... :D ...

Also Gift That Shines ... a very good version, yes ... another entire highlight was Vision Thing ... hell ... ;D ... :notworthy: ...

A Rock And A Hard Place might well go back where it belongs to my taste ... ... after some several encounters this year, I don't think whatever the effort might be, nothing will get it to a point for real, nowadays ... well, it could be done, but only entirely decidedly for which again I see no reason, to the contrary.

On the other hand, while listening to the first part of Alice, I thought hell, and now they will all start doing the chorus again ... I just can't get it ... and found myself shouting on Alice! Don't give it away only a few seconds later ...   ... that was a) great fun and b) wow, strategically placed perfectly by some great craftsmanship of I think even more than only good singing ... very well done ... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: ...

Enough for now, maybe more later, maybe not ... ... anyway, I look forward to listening to it again ... :notworthy: ...

Ah, and greetings to everyone I've met ... always nice to meet people again and to get to see others in person ... :notworthy: ...

Btw, I had found some pretty tickets to scan for the Wiki. Unfortunately I got that wet in the end that I had 1 cm water even in my underwear, not to mention my shoes and my bag ... ...

So does anybody have a nice picture or a scan of a ticket to put it up there? ... ...

I've seen some people who I recognised from their avatar, but I never was sure, and nobody here knows me really. :p Although I offered someone a place to stay for Crammerock though. :D

I'm pleasantly surprised by the result, especially as I saw the camera pointing in my face and froze accordingly! Ego trip aside, it's been a great weekend and the weather (as well as the Sisters) was absolutely stunning - that is up till midnight last night when the heavens opened on our way back to the car. I felt sorry for anyone camping at the festival last night, as the rain and thunder seemed to go on for ages.

Hi Cyberbio, well in Paris earlier on tour everyone on stage sang "Jürgen", maybe you've already seen that in Doctoravalanche's video, so I guess it's the guy :D

Crammerock ~ 2 September 2011

The journey started early, My Dominion came to fetch me at 10h00 on a sunny beautiful day & we travelled down to Belgium. Got there around lunch time and helped getting tent set up for him & us trying to figure out where everything was regarding to the festival area. It was hot by this time and on one of our walks bumped into _emma_. Then went into town and did a bit of sightseeing & stopped at a pub for a drink. Back to the festival & met up with _emma_ &Andrew S, got wristbands & after a two minute wait they opened the festival terrain. We were walking around to see what the drinks were & the food. The merch stand hadn’t been set up at the moment so that would come later.

_emma_ found us a place to sit & we got our drinks & were chatting & checking out the people around us. We were around the first 30 guests that were there and after our second drink _emma_ recognised Von without shades & showed me were she was looking. Yes it was definately him, he glanced up we waved & he came walking upto our table. Everyone shook hands & I offered him a drink (vodka of course) so went to get the drink. My opening line was “we are fans but don’t worry we don’t need a new album ;) *shocked looks from the table* but then the laugh.
Von’s line “i’m only the singer of the band he has worked in one of the other band members to take over things. He admitted he was lazy but when asked if he is thinking of retiring, he is not. Spoke about the weather he loves the heat so was enjoying the day. You see on a Friday at any festival in Belgium people are pissed around lunch time, so what’s not to love right?! Enjoys doing Belgium gigs because of the relaxed atmosphere always & I must admit, none of the bags were looked into at all which is different in other countries. We got to tell which of the Belgium gigs stuck out for us or the reasons & that was a good laugh too. Anyhoo we spoke about the hottest gigs he has experienced along the years (the surprise gig in Josheph’s Well stood out & one of the Helsinki gigs). He also hates the cold, tried living in Canada once but couldn’t handle it. Where he now has residences & indeed that he lived in Holland for a few years. We even spoke about experiences we all have at airports when you have to go through the metal detectors & you *BEEP* and why you are *BEEPING* Spoke about how he didn’t like England, not at all, and in his opion Scotland wins! Regarding medical system & schooling i think it was. Spoke about countries in the world & languages that are spoken and if you think you can’t speak a language but try reading it, you’ll be surprised how much you do actually know. He was also checking out the people on the terrain and by this time it had gotten much busier. I made the mistake of taking my camera out to take a photo of _emma_ & he said “that’s my que and left. Sorry group, i should have known better, but we were very happy with what we had gotten!

After that well we carried on drinking and then started moving around a bit. Spotted loads of people with Sisters t-shirts on but no-one i recognised. Us four then had a bite to eat & more drinks and i went back to the merch stand & got the girlie t-shirt (f**k me and marry me young) as there were no hoddies brought with. i left with My Dominion to get dressed for the evening. Coming back, bumped into all you wonderful fans & you all know who you are, it was so great to see you all! The hugs and kisses were wonderful and sorry I didn’t speak to all of you for longer but by that time it was almost time to get to the stage!* (somewhere around this time I saw Ben in the crowd, surrounded by young ladies to ran up to him, gave him a kiss & told him I’d get him a drink after the gig, but didn’t see him again. Oh & I didn’t see Chris at all-in the crowds??) I was stood in the 3rd row behind Ozpat (thanks for the support when the crowd went mad!!!) Gig was brilliant, really enjoyed it all & the crowd was enjoying just as much with people singing along & Von sounded good, they all did!!! The mosh was hectic but one advantage of having lengthly hair that is wet with sweat that you can fling around to force people to keep just a bit of a distance. From what I could see on stage when i wasn’t dancing or being stuck between stinky big men that use their elbows next you, was that the boys were having fun. Sounded good. After the gig catching our breath, drinking water and chatting with Eva & Eggi (who are both glowing which is amazing to see!!) and all the other people I had a few words with, it was a good way to spend the early parts of Saturday morning! Thanks to Paul & Donna, for making & transporting a stunning cake for me, much appreciated & to all of you that are going to make the Utrecht gig, hope to catch up again then. Special thanks to Christophe for his hospitality & to My Dominion for the lift there! It was wonderful experience like it always is in Belgium!!!

That must had been something. From my expirience- every artists that i admire(ed) what i've met were strangly normal. One question: did you told his from where were people sitting at table? And if yes - he was suprised at all?

yes it was something indeed! that is just the thing, he was "normal" in fact in a very good mood & was laughing & joking with us. it was a very relaxed atmosphere. sorry Bartek, not understanding your question exactly, but he was walking around we were sitting at the table in the shade & when he glanced over and we were looking at him, i waved for him to come over, which he did with a grin. * sorry if that's not what you meant?
