sh*t
he was a great player for us briefly at the end of his career, and was a valuable member of the back-room staff at bramall lane.
granted, when he went on to manage us he was pretty sh*t, but it seemed like he'd turned a corner in his managerial career with wales
f*ck.
my condolences to his family.

What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Sad to hear. Wales seemed to be going well for him. Sad news indeed.

Didn't know him, but when it comes so all of a sudden, it's mostly especially sad ... ...
R.I.P., though I think it's been the wrong decision ... and my deepest condolences to his family ... ...

I can't believe it. I met him a couple of times at Bolton, he was a fans favorite, and not just because of his football skill but also as a man. When you met him he was always really nice and had loads of time for you. He will be sadly missed
I don't doubt and I don't take direction....
This is a bit of a downer. I've friends who are huge LUFC fans and I remember him from the great team of the early 90s, despite not being a footie-head myself. Seems totally inexplicable but these things always are, aren't they?
If there's a man upstairs he's just got himself a great playah. RIP Gary.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I've heard speculation that the gutter press had been threatening to release some "revelations" about his private life. If this is true, yet more blood on their hands...
A very sad loss.

Still gutted. David Batty and Gary Speed were my idols growing up.
RIP.
