My performance to the Sisters' Body and Soul

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Would I be quite so enthralled if, for example Susan Boyle was doing the same dance with equal dexterity and grace... ( I would have kept watching, but my motive would have been quite different).

Well, I guess that there are some people who would prefer to see Susan Boyle then a skinny girl like me though... :wink:
I actually want to have beautiful girls of all shapes and sizes in the group, but it is hard to get the non-skinny girls, who sadly just don't feel comfortable to show their bodies on stage.. :roll:

There are plenty "skinny" girls who do not feel comfortable with their bodies ... IMHO, it just depends on the degree of negative feedback people encounter in life regarding their body ... or even towards any sort of spontaneous expression ... and for some it is very difficult to overcome the embarrassment ... nothing one can force ...

Very saddening, no matter what shape of body or person concerned ... and one reason why I've got a deep contempt for violence of any kind ...

I completely agree, it took me many years to come to peace with my body, maybe this way of art is also a part of the treatment for me.
However, it is a fact that it is a lot harder for me to get +size performers then skinny ones. I contacted a lot of +size models, some are even nude models, but it is very sad that they still don't feel comfortable enough to go on stage.

You can be proud that you managed. I think the pleasure in getting dirty is very helpful ... and obviously they couldn't destroy that within you ... ;D ;D ;D ... :notworthy: ...

For +size people it might be more difficult because of that incredible +pressure they receive. Every day when checking my emails for spam, there are at least five people asking me whether I won't lose weight or needed some viagra ... as if that were of any concern, really ...

FWIW, I did enjoy it.

I used to be a stage manager & dancers & I never really saw eye to eye.
I'd happily stage manage something like this though.
