Ghostdance - Poisondoor
I'm just listening to Ghostdance's version of Poison Door. It sound ultimately cool. The question is how can I get any other records of that band. I didn't find anything on emule or kazaa :-( I have only found one lousy webpage with some info about the band and AFAIK they have released only one album and some 12". I want this stuff I know it's not officialy available, so I want to swap.

hang on in there. there is a reissue cd of all the old 12" ep's and some other bits and bobs planned for the new year...
yep, you are correct. there arent many GD sites out there on the web, but have you seen this one: http://www.angelsinexile.i12.com/ghost/html/ghost.htm
its probably the best one there is at the moment.
however, there is an official ghost dance website planned for sometime in the new year which should have loads of hitherto unseen and unheardof goodies for you to download
oops, did i say that?
ahem.

and you could always email that nice mr marx ( info@garymarx.com ) to ask when he's planning to release the GD cd... i gather he's open to ideas as to what to actually include on the disc - live stuff, demos, etc etc.
and it might jog him along a bit

This is great news! I have a few things on mp3 but would love a decent official collection. Hooray
meckert - give SoulSeek a try (http://www.slsknet.org). Should have a few Ghost Dance tracks available, it's good for 'rare' type stuff. If nothing else the tracks I have in my own mp3 folder should show up on it when I'm online!

I own the CD "Stop the world" (released in 1989).
nostalgy ain't what it used to be
Well I've managed to download some 15 tracks from soulsek (10 more await in cue). After listening to them just briefly I think that Ghost Dance was a good band, somewhat similar to the other Sisters-related band involving Wayne and Craig, but unfortunely it's more pop rock than g*** rock. Maybe recordings earlier than "Stop the world" were better ?

The earlier stuff is not the pop-pap of STW meckert, trust me. Try and get a hold of Where Spirits Fly, TSOM used to sound check it.

I e-mailed Gary Marx regarding GD, and he replied that in the New Year there will be an official Ghost Dance webpage, and that some material (I dunno if it;s unreleased material or just re-releases) should be available.
Aw!!! Ghostdance!!!
Maybe that's slightly over-the-top but I have very fond memories of Anne-Marie's crowd-participation. I think they were on never-ending tour at one point.

Please don't ask me why I'm here. Something deeper brought me than a need to remember

Yeah, The March Violets and Skeletal Family. Too bad that records of these band's are so hard to get. The only solution is SoulSeek . Can't wait for Gary Marx to release something by GD.
listening to the Gathering Dust album ... it kicked my brain really hard

These guys sell March Violets and Skeletal Family stuff. Well.. ok, they only do one MV compilation thing, but three (count 'em!) SF albums.
SoulSeek remains the cheapest option though

If you want Skeletal family stuff then the best place to get it is ......drum roll ........Skeletal Family !
Stan sorts all the orders out & they're currently selling pretty much everything .
They've just got the rights back to all their radio sessions too , so they will hopefully see the light of day soon . They're working on a new album too .
If you buy straight from the band the money ends up in the right place .
