"Ready in the Rhythm Section" The Syndromes vs The Merciful Release All-Stars featuring The Impossible Dreamers

Found this LP on ebay and ordered it...Anyone got any background information on it? Not a bad record really, am just listening to the b-side ("The Merciful Release All-Stars")

Has an insert (hand-written and copied) stating Merciful Release is "an organisation through which "independent"ideas can be thrust upon the general public". Adress given as 78 Sussex Square, London W2

Nothing at all to do with the Sisters as far as I know. Just a coincidence of names.

Nonetheless, a few pictures were surely nice, if possible, Cedarjet ... :) ... for this thing is mentioned in the Sisters Wiki ...

The Impossible Dreamers were a 1980s new-wave band that had a major club hit with their 12 single “Spin, before signing for RCA Records where they were produced by Johnny Marr (The Smiths). The band members have gone on to work with Robert Plant, The Pretenders and The Lilac Time.

Thanks Quiff Boy for that link, spares me the problem of finding a way to get these photos uploaded :D Anyhow, OK, nothing to do with the Sisters, but is it the same record company, or just a name coincidence? Except for the head&star logo the style is pretty much MR ("a Merciful Release", "MR2")..
