I am showing it off to whoever possible at the moment so I didn't think you lot should get away with it either.

Any owners here? It wouldn't start tonight and I mean nothing, not even a click when you turn the key. I'm getting the breakdown people out tmro anyway but there was no power, not even to the headlights.

Nice motor ! Looks like the kind of thing would have considered around the time he bought the Merc.
Am no mechanic but the "Recent Battery" bit of the AutoTrader listing sounds ominous. Alternator ??

Thanks. Yes, I'm no mechanic but I've got a funny feeling it's the battery, it looks weird, all the connections are ok though. So, maybe it is the alternator even, I'll have to take the morning off work while they diagnose it 4 me.
Is supposed to be Andrew Eldridge?

I used to have a BMW 3 series compact. R reg, which would make it 1997 IIRC. The exhaust manifold cracked and rather than paying stupid money to have it replaced I sold the car.
I have a Citroen C1 these days which I've had for almost a year. It had 4 miles on the clock when I got it. It's a lot less thirsty than the Beemer!

Oh what a pity. Someone seems to have broken your link.drewthomas wrote:I recently bought a Momentum BMW. After a lot of hours researching, I decided that I wanted an extremely luxurious car. That is why I decided to go with BMW when I decided to trade in for something brand new. I found a dealership in Houston that worked very well with me. Momentum BMW was everything I might have asked for in a car dealership. They helped me pick the ideal car and made sure I got a deal on it. Get your brand new car at Momentum BMW Houston TX.

sorry, been absent a while.
Lots has happened since. I got a new battery which has better voltage etc cos is new and works good.
It was wet the other day and I aquaplaned and the back end span, I did a 180 and smashed both left wheels into the pavement. That was scary, time slowed down and I remember staring at my friend's face as terror set in, 'Feels Like Heaven' by Factory Fiction blaring on the stereo as we slid across the wide road.
Lessons being learned, no one hurt. My car needs a new wheel which is on it's way, second hand, I will fit then take the car to get it's alignment checked.

I've spun out like that (although I did it in snow, not water) and it is fooking scary. My sympathies.Thoth_Hermes wrote:It was wet the other day and I aquaplaned and the back end span, I did a 180 and smashed both left wheels into the pavement. Oh and you'll probably be needing a new pair of these:

Tanks for the sympathies, glad no one else was there, could have been bad.
Those wheels are nice, I might get some black ones to match Black Planet I have blasting out of the car as I ride around in the radiation we are having down South today.

A much safer bet than Fiction Factory - that was probably a major contributory factor in your spin. TSOM - an integral part of road safety.Thoth_Hermes wrote: Black Planet I have blasting out of the car as I ride around in the radiation we are having down South today.
