Yes I just saw this too. A wonderfully thought-provoking writer.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

I loved his work, especially his short stories. "The Illustrated Man" has always been a favorite of mine.
I think all of his shorter work has been collected now. The Stories of Ray Bradbury vol. 1, 2, etc.
But, gratuitous sister reference coming up... "I Sing The Body Electric" is a cracking selection of shorts.
I would also recommend, without hesitation:
Farenheit 451
The Martian Chronicles
Something Wicked This Way Comes
The Day It Rained Forever (short stories)
From The Dust Returned.
A great auther who will be sadly missed, but hey, it aint that bad, 91 years without turning into a gibbering wreck is a winner
Paul.
Thought I might change my sig. to reflect one of his funnier, old man moments

"We have too many cellphones. We've got too many internets. We have got to get rid of those machines. We have too many machines now." - Ray Bradbury.
I was a teenager when i read for first time one of his short stories in a sci-fi anthology printed in cheap recycled small size paperback.

I only finished reading Fahrenheit 451 a few weeks ago. A sad loss.

so sad. Fantastic writer - loved all his books but Something Wicked is particularly brilliant. He had such a great way of capturing anticipation & mounting terror... RIP Ray
RIP - and with honest respect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1IxOS4VzKM
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
