Top 5 superheroes?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

inspired by a comment elsewhere, here's mine:

1 - superman (for the uberslick hair, kiss curl and bottlerim glasses)
2 - batman (for the hi-tech toys, and the angst)
3 - dangermouse (because wherever there is danger he'll be there)
4 - silver surfer (one of those retro americana cold-war anxiety-driven things, and because he's silver)
5 - spiderman (because he can climb up walls and swing around, and stuff...)

and no, they don't all stand up to examination. but i likes 'em, and they're super to me :D

You're all wrong.

There is only...

Judge Dredd: I AM THE LAW! (And he kicks The Batman's arse in Judgement on Gotham)

The Batman has no superpowers either. No-one's suggesting he's not a superhero.

Didn't pick him either!

Batman's always decent and there's far too much Dredd + 2000AD stuff in my house.

Can we make it a top 10?!?

Does the blue chick from X Men count as a super hero?

yeah, i'm working on a really loose definition of "superhero" to be fair

if they have some kin dope power or ability (be it by birth, by mutation, or by high tech gadgetry or sheer force of will), and they use it for good, i'm happy for it to be classed as "superhero" :D

In that case.....

Batman: Black stuff & cool toys & a cave full of pooters.
Superman: He can fly & make the world spin backwards.
Wonder Woman: Bullet deflecting bangles.
Mystique: Wears blue paint & shape shifts
Spidey: Does whatever a spider can

:D
Cheers.

What? No Swamp Thing? :?

If we're just talking comic book characters it would be a very different look to heroes who actually have Super Powers. And would that include Super Villains? The Joker for example, one of the finest villains ever. But no super powers to speak of. :P
